Novus Contemporary Art has categorically removed itself from the traditional misconception of art galleries. Novus, meaning ‘new’ and the derivative of the word ‘innovative’ meaning fresh and different, is family owned.

The gallery, established in West Didsbury, Manchester, in early 2005, strives to be anything but snotty. We treat people how we would expect to be treated. Over ten years experience in hospitality, combined with a keen commercial eye for art, has resulted in a cool, sophisticated, friendly art gallery.

We have aimed ourselves at those looking to invest in something a little bit different, or even those wishing to add a new decorative focal point to their homes.  Coaxed in with funky beats the gallery goes on to display honest prices that don’t make you feel ill and charms with its ‘sitting room-esque’ environment.  Although this may not be everyone’s cup of tea, the gallery certainly has something for everyone, whether it’s a fascination with animals; abstract shapes and colours, or an admiration for the female form, Novus has it in originals, limited edition prints, sculptures, ceramics and glass. 

Finally, expect to see works by Duncan Macgregor, Nancy Wood and of course Doug Hyde (one of the biggest selling living contemporary artists of today).
